GRAND CANYON ROCKS

Evolutionists regard Grand Canyon as a monument to Deep Time.  Creationists regard Grand Canyon as a monument to the Genesis Flood. Who is right? All geologists agree that limestones and shales (mudstones) formed underwater. But evolutionary geologists insist Tapeats and Coconino Sandstones formed as wind-blown sand dunes.

how were Grand canyon sandstone layers formed?

Most evolutionary geologists accept on faith what first workers reported - that close inspection reveals characteristics of aeolian (wind-blown) sand dunes, including "well-sorted" and "well-rounded" frosted grains, and steep cross bed angles.

Actual microscopic examination reveals poorly sorted grain sizes, grain edge angles, the presence of mica flakes, ooids, (sand grains coated with calcium carbonate minerals) and pieces of dolomite, all strongly suggestive of marine deposition.
